Cross Over with Pass Over

As the old year is fading away and the new one is pulling in, I’ve seen some inscription/tag with some individuals, organisations, groups as: “My Year of Laughter”, Year of Abundance”, Year of Jubilee”, “Year of Favour”, “Year of Breakthrough”.  Whatever you call it, you must have to Cross Over through the Pass Over before you can really see the fulfillment of the inscription.

“This month … shall be the first month of the year to you” Ex 12:2.

Sometimes ago, when God decided to let His people (Israelites) Cross Over from old year to a new one, from slavery to liberty, from poverty to wealth, from darkness to light, He gave them this prescription: “… take of the blood and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the house....”

“It is the Lord’s Passover… and when I see the blood, I will pass over you and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you…”  Because they were Crossing Over with the Pass Over, “the Lord went before them” to lead them by day and night so that they would not stumble nor fall.

As they were Crossing Over, the enemy showed up, but the Lord rose up and “troubled the host of the Egyptians (the enemy)” and “the Lord delivered them” from the enemy that opposed their Crossing Over.

“…For … Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us. I Cor 5:7”.  Why should you attempt to Cross Over without the Pass Over?  Why will you go ahead without let Him lead the way?  Why will you try to take steps without being sure of His Aid and Support?

Because, “the Lord is a man of war; the Lord is His name”.  You must Cross Over with the Pass Over – Jesus Christ – so that He can fight for you and equally give you rest.
